Join Minority-Owned Brockton Businesses in Cutting Out COVID for the Culture this Saturday!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 29, 2021
On Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 11-3, make your way to Starlines Hair Salon at 472 E. Ashland St., Brockton for “Cutting Out COVID for the Culture.”
Pinnacle Partnerships, a minority woman-owned mental health community based organization, and Starlines Hair Salon, a black-owned barber shop and salon serving a multicultural clientele, both based in Brockton, found a common cause with a shared vision through COVID. Through Pinnacle Partnerships’ ‘Stomp Out COVID In Shoe City’ campaign, Starlines and Pinnacle began working together in the community and having conversations at the barber shop and community.
Together, they have distributed thousands of PPE kits into the Brockton community and supported numerous of the city of Brockton’s mobile vaccine efforts. Now, they are holding their own pop-up VAX Clinic.
They will offer testing and vaccines for ages 12 and older. Other features of the event: VAX Vouchers for free haircuts once fully vaccinated, free food provided by Southern Comfort, free Lyft rides for those who need transportation, free PPE, and more. On Saturday, August 21, 2021, they will hold a second clinic.
